Mind-blowing
PETALING JAYA: She is barely a teenager but has run away from home more than 10 times in less than a year.

After the latest episode on May 10, the parents of primary school pupil Yap Wei Mon believe that her latest disappearance may be related to her adult boyfriend.

Her father Yap Thau Hing, 52, said Wei Mon had befriended the man on Facebook.

"She began to frequent Internal cafes around the end of last year after she got hooked to playing computer games and chatting with strangers online."

"She went out a lot on her own, and did not return home on several occasions, but it was usually for not more than a couple of days before we found her, " said the mosaic craftsman from Ampang.

The family suspects that the girl took along her Sony Ericsson handphone, her MyKad and RM150 when she left home last month.

Yap lodged a missing persons report with the Ampang Jaya district police station on the day Wei Mon was last seen.

MCA Public Services and Complaints Department head Datuk Michael Chong said the family came to his office yesterday to seek help to find Wei Mon. -The Star
