A HORRIFIED mum last night told how her three-year-old son was savaged by a black labrador during a family picnic in the park.
Logan Trim screamed in agony as he suffered appalling face wounds in the shock attack.
He was rushed to hospital and given 40 stitches - but could still be left scarred for life.
Mum Lara Slingsby, 22, had taken Logan to Whitecliff Park in Poole, Dorset, for a day out with his baby brother and her parents.
Lara said, "We saw a lady nearby with a dog and a puppy."
"They looked friendly, and the dog was off the lead right next to a children's park, so I assumed it would be fine and we walked over. The next thing I heard growling and screaming. I looked around and saw Logan lying on the floor and the dog was getting off him.
"The whole thing was over in an instant. Logan is recovering now but he's had nightmares about it."
Lara called for the dog to be destroyed, saying: "It's likely to do it again." Police are investigating. -The Sun
