At least four people were killed after an Amtrak train and a truck collided Friday on a railroad crossing in Nevada,an official told NBC-affliate TV station KRNY.Nearly 70 were injured, with at least two in critical condition.
KRNV said the Nevada Department of Transportation put the death toll at five, but also cited Nevada State Trooper Dan Lopez as saying the truck's driver was confirmed dead along with three to four on board the train.
He told the TV station that the exact number of people involved had not been determined.
Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno told the TV station that they had received nine injured passengers from the crash. -msn.com

At least one train car caught fire following a collision between an Amtrak train and a tractor trailer that killed three people on a rural northern Nevada highway.
